Association president Denyse Ealedona thanked Masiu for the donation towards their appeal.
The association used Solomon Islands’ 40th Independence anniversary celebrations to raise funds for the purchase of an electrocardiography (ECG) machine and a suction machine.
Masiu who was the guest at the celebrations by the Solomon Islands community in Port Moresby had pledged his support to the appeal.

“We hope that the gesture by the minister will further strengthen our ties and the long relationship that Solomon Islands has with Bougainville and its people.”
