Meeting endorses PNG work plan

The Apec Finance and Central Bank deputies meeting has endorsed PNG’s initiated work plan for the finance minister’s process.
Treasury Department Deputy Secretary Manu Momo said PNG proposed a number of initiatives on infrastructure and financial inclusion and member economies had supported PNG’s proposals.
We start the work in terms of PNG as host economy, we have to agree on the work plan and activities going forward,” he said.
“Part of this meeting is to have agreement with member economies and this is what Papua New Guinea is putting forward and we want to collaborate with them for them to come in together with international financial organisations and other bodies to support the work and this work goes to the senior finance officers’ meeting and eventually to the finance ministers’ meeting.”
