Member for Gumine on silent mode

Letters

A MANDATORY leader is also the people’s choice.
All MPs in Parliament should take firm and decisive actions for stability and for the good of all Papua New Guineans.
In one recent Parliament sitting, the Gumine MP (and now Minister for Education) asked the good Minister for Health a corpse being left outside the Sir Joseph Nombri Memorial hospital.
This was a lame question, when the MP could have questioned the Connect PNG programme and/or the rural electrification for his Gumine people.
He did not. He was more interested about the body lying there on the streets.
The people of Gumine are in need of a reliable road network and rural electrification to better their livelihoods.
Basic government services are being delivered, but we really need better roads and electricity in villages.
We ask that our Gumine returns from his sleep and speak up for his people on the floor of Parliament. Soon, Parliament will resume. So, Mr MP, get off your comfortable chair and start talking.
We place our hopes and trust in you.
