MORAN Special Purpose Authority (MSPA) acting chairman, Danny Tadabe has been asked to investigate how K6 million belonging to the authority was spent.

Director Peterson Pipi made the request through a  challenge after witnessing Tadabe’s swearing-in ceremony in Port Moresby yesterday.

Tadabe accepted the challenge.

Senior Magistrate Danny Yalal conducted the swearing-in ceremony.

Other members of the authority who were sworn in were deputy chairman Paul Yawe and two new board members, David Daura and Gibson Tiki.

Pipi, who has been with the authority for the past six years, said the authority had failed to deliver goods and services to the people of the Hulia local level government in the Moran region.

He said he was ashamed that the authority could not deliver the  services.

Pipi apologised to the people of Hulia LLG for that.

“There was too much politics involved which greatly affected the delivery of goods and services to the people,” he said.

Tandabe called on members of the MSPA to work together for the betterment of the people of Moran.

The MSPA was created by Hulia LLG through provincial affairs to deliver services but has been largely ineffective for the past six years.

Hulia RLLG president Eric Yawas said there had been no services from the MSPA.

“We got K6 million under MSPA but there is no services to prove it,” he said.
