Military fellowship hosts meet to discuss issues

THE Papua New Guinea Defence Force Military Christian Fellowship hosted a two day conference in Port Moresby to discuss issues concerning the organisation.
A participant from Murray Barracks Force Support Battalion lance corporal Emmanuel Nimbau said the convention was vital because it was in line with the commander’s intent and the Defence White Paper 2013, which was to put God first.
“Most of us didn’t know that Association of Military Christian Fellowship exists. But after attending the two day conference we now realised its existence and its importance.”
According to a statement, the challenges faced by military Christians in PNGDF, bible studies and conflict resolutions were key topics discussed during the event.
Three dignitaries from Australia and New Zealand military Christian fellowship were part of the delegation.
The visiting team was led by the vice president of the World Wide Association of Military Christian Fellowship for the South West Pacific region lieutenant-colonel Jamie Van Heel.
PNGDF’s Port Moresby-based units sent their representatives to participate in that two day event.
