Minister: Head still to be appointed

ELIZABETH Bowada is still the acting managing director of the National Housing Corporation (NHC), says Minister for Housing and Urban Development Justin Tkatchenko.
He said the position had been advertised and they were going through the process of appointing a permanent managing director.
“Bowada is still in her acting position. This process will finally put a qualified and permanent managing director in NHC and move us forward to reform and change the NHC and correct the mistakes of the past,” he said.
Tkatchenko said he was looking forward to the appointment so that the “rogue and destabilising” elements in the board and NHC could be finally removed. “I want to see NHC moving forward without fear or favour.”
There were reports on social media that Bowada had been sidelined.
