Minister passes condolences to doctor’s mourning family

HEALTH and HIV AIDS Minister Jelta Wong has conveyed his condolences to the family of the late Dr Lawrence Sogoromo who passed away on Monday.
“On behalf of my staff and ministry, I want to pass my condolences to surviving wife Damaris, children Johannes, Theo, Jason, Jamilah, Frederick and Benjamin, and close family,” Wong said.
“It is unfortunate to lose such a dedicated medical officer.
We at the health ministry share our sorrow and grief with his family at this time.”
Wong described him Dr Sogoromo as a dedicated health professional.
Sogoromo was the director of anesthetic services at the Port Moresby General Hospital, senior specialist medical officer in anesthesiology, and treasurer of the National Doctors Association.
He passed away on Jan 21, while on leave in his hometown of Wewak.
