Minister wants post on PM, attorney-general probed

MINISTER for Communications and Information Technology Koni Iguan wants those responsible for posting “indecent graphics” of the prime minister and the attorney-general on social media prosecuted.
He directed National Information and Communication Technology Authority (Nicta) to deal with the matter.
“The image circulated is of very poor taste posted by someone with a very sick mind and no sense of morality or decency,” Iguan said.
“This is a new low with a complete disregard for mandated leaders and the high offices they hold established by the Constitution.
And the group administrator who allowed this post – effectively consenting to its publication – must be held accountable and responsible under our laws as well. I am directing Nicta to use all legal powers to investigate and refer this to police for immediate prosecution. I want progressive reports on this until those responsible face the full force of the law.”
