Minister’s presence in Goroka suspicious

Letters

THIS is the first time since 1975 when a police minister has to be present in the by-election of a district.
Police Minister Bryan Kramer’s presence in Goroka can easily be seen as trying to influence the outcome of the election through the police personnel on the ground.

  • Wrong interpretation I believe.! He is there to ensure there’s no rigging in the election, and the process is smooth. When will all PNGeans start to have faith and beliefs in the Police Minister. He is doing great. Greater then most.

    • I believe Mr Kramer was only carrying out his duty as Police Minister, being at the right place at the right time.

Well done Mr Kramer. You are doing fine. Keep up the good job.

  • Dont bring negative misinformation, MINISTER is doing his ministerial work to ensure the election is conducted fairly without any problems. People have casts their votes, we will know the people’s choice by next week. Truave

  • Ministers are supposed to provide policy directives while operational matters are the responsibilities of bureaucrats. In this case the Police Minister is taking on an operational role which, the indirect implications are that he has no confidence in his Police Commissioner and the respective operational commanders.

  • Minister is a nonsense leader who at a lower cost for the country there to make sure there is no foul play. As long as we are PNGeans we have attitude problem especially influenced by whom you know ways. Minister’s presence there will influence the honesty to prevail where corruption is rampant during election times in PNG which is norm.
