Miss PNG focuses on women empowerment

MISS Papua New Guinea Leoshina Kariha will speak on the empowerment of women at the Pacific Islands pageant in Tonga this week.
The pageant in Tonga started at the weekend with a church service at the Saione Falelotu Senituli Siasi Uesiliana Tau’ataina ‘o Tonga Methodist church in Nuku’alofa. The speech is the first judging category.
Other judging categories are sarong wear, and talent and traditionally inspired dress.
A lunch organised with Tongan Queen Nanasipau’u and a meeting with King Tupou VI have been the highlights so far.
Pageant week ends with the crowning ball on Saturday.
