I APPEAL to all the youth from Morobe, Madang and Sepik’s to help and clean up Lae City.

Lae is the second City of Papua New Guinea and it is located in Momase Region therefore all the Momase youths should stand up on your feet and clean up the city.

Clean up refers to cleanliness of  and beautification of the place in the public places such as  bus stop and market place etc.

We must look after our city and be a role model to other regions.

If the Momase youths   involved in petty crimes such as pick pocket, drugs and homebrew, then how can you protest  to stop such activities.

We cannot blame others for such activities unless we ourselves are not part and partial of the activities.

Furthermore, Lae is no longer a customary land but is state-owned land where business activities are carried out.

And for Morobean youth to offer their terms and conditions it must comply with the law and not for their personal gain.

I am saying this is because all Papua New Guineans living in Lae are contributing in their own little ways to develop and growth the city.

Even the street vendors are contributing but what they are doing is not right because they are spoiling the image of the city.

Therefore, it is good to put a stop for such activities and there should be a designated place for the street vendors and not in public places.

From now on we will put our eyes on such illegal activities and give the report to the police.

Aritie Man,

Lae
