Monitor teachers’ performance

AS a teacher, I would like to thank the departments of education and personnel management for processing the backdated payments for teachers. We expected payments to be made by the end of May. Meanwhile, how well are we monitoring the quality of teaching and learning? There are a handful of dedicated teachers while many others are lazy. Many are roaming the streets and getting paid for doing nothing. I challenge the provincial education advisers to take a different approach to ensure that teachers are working. Lack of proper monitoring has caused poor performances in the past.
