More than 80 professionals attend session

MORE than 80 young professionals in the private and public sectors attended an information session on home and property investment last week in Port Moresby.
The Young Professions Network (YPN) of PNG organised the session which was facilitated by the Bank of South Pacific Financial Group.
The session covered BSP’s three main property loan products: first home buyer; standard home loan and personal property investment loan. BSP explained the process in purchasing a property.
YPN president Methuselah Wabiria said members had requested that particular topic.
“The number of questions asked shows to a desire to understand about owning and investing in property from young people,” he said.
“The YPN aims to create these spaces for dialogue and learning. We plan to host similar events in 2024.”
Meanwhile, BSP business sales analyst Stanislaus Mu’uh said many young professionals aimd to own homes .
“The interest shown by the YPN members is a peek into the broader desire that exists in the market for home and property ownership.”
