More trouble brewing for general election

Letters

MORE trouble is brewing for the General Election 2022.
The reported related violence, killings, destruction of properties, vehicles is just a tip of an iceberg.
The Highlands would be as the most affected part of the country.
Polling, counting and declarations are still a few weeks away and certain parts of the country already reporting incidents of awful scene, deaths destructions and so forth.
This is what usually happened soon after polling or after the election results and declarations but this has changed.
Surprisingly, all the bad is already springing up at a very early stage of election is as shocking and something much to desire about.
What is taking place now should become as a learning experience so whoever wishes to stand for election in future or those would be defending their seats in future elections, should take precautions as much as possible.
Likewise, for the supporters who must behave as human beings and respect the laws and other people and must not take election too personal and as means of survival in future elections.
Destructions and loss of lives are as a result of candidates and supporters not sharing a thought of what would become of them if they do this or that.
If candidates think of what would become of them and their supporters, they would retreat or take precautions before they do something.
The flare up of election related destructions and hostilities are as a result of one candidate or supporter’s stupidity – not taking into account actions that are as annoying and painful to their opposition.
Peace and harmony will prevail among communities and voters if candidate and voters keep campaign tempo as low and interact well and show respect towards opposing candidate and supporters.
All destructions, hostilities and other awful incidents could be avoided if candidates and voters keep election tempo as low and abstain from doing things that would annoy the opposition.
So in future elections, candidates who have the majority support must not show their strength of support in public.
Avoid truck and car convoys of supporters travelling from one point to another which may instigate trouble or cause anger for other candidates and supporters.
