MAX Kende of Southern Highlands is K250,000 richer after being drawn the winner of the Courts Accumulator 3 mega draw last Saturday.
Kende, who lives at Boroko, Port Moresby, was shocked, saying he could not believe his win and it was the first time he had won a major prize.
He said he bought a refrigerator at Courts for K3,300 and entered the competition.
He thanked Courts PNG Ltd and other corporate sponsors for the prizes.
The K250,000 prize includes a kit home worth over K100,000, a double cab vehicle worth K78,000 a holiday trip for two to Singapore with K3,000 spending money, plus household furniture and accessories.
Kende said he planned to take his family for the trip.
All people had to do was buy something over K50 to get entry tickets for the draw.
Courts PNG managing director Mark Curtis said the tickets were from customers from the six branches including Kokopo and Mt Hagen.
He said the previous three draws, which were held in April, June and September, were all won by people from Mt Hagen but this time
Port Moresby was lucky.
Curtis said Courts planned to run a similar competition next year.
He thanked sponsors Carpenters Hardware, Globe, Air Niugini, Boroko Motors plus others who contributed in making the competition possible.
