THE Morobe administration has sent a list of students eligible for the Gerson Solulu Scholarship programme to the University of Papua New Guinea so that it can release the degrees and diplomas of those who graduated recently.
Their papers were not released because they still owed the university fees.
The Morobe government owes the university in tuition fees about K1.2 million.
Deputy administrator (Social Services) Robin Bazzinuc, told The National yesterday that the university had sent a statement to the administration and his office has verified the statement.
“We have verified the statement and sent it back to UPNG today (yesterday) for them to reconfirm,” Bazzinuc said.
“Once they have reconfirmed the list, payments will be made.”
