Meanwhile, PNG Karate-Do Federation has released its 2024 calendar to its member associations in the country to start preparations for local, regional, national and international competitions this year.
President Carl Mari’Bera said “The 2024 calendar contains the normal activities of Karate PNG, however, we will introduce the Karate PNG trials in March 2024 before the team participates in the Oceania Karate Federatoion Senior Championships and the Australia Open in April.
“We hope the trials will be an annual feature event besides the nationals and the open.
“Thus, there will be three competitions in a year for Karate PNG athletes and members starting 2024.”
