POLLING for the Motu-Koitabu Assembly in the local level government elections will take only one day – Tuesday, July 9.
Fifteen seats are up for grabs – one for president, two for women and 12 for wards.
Meanwhile, nominations have been flowing in steadily since the issue of writs last Thursday and are expected to reach a high today and tomorrow.
Motu-Koitabu East assistant returning officer, Karo Tiana reported 18 nominations as of last Saturday – two for the presidency, 14 for wards and two for women.
“So far, we’re doing pretty well. We have no problems. Nominations are going very well,” Tiana said.
