Mountain Bulls outlast Young Guns

MOUNTAIN Bulls ended the Gerehu Young Guns’ hopes of staying in contention in the NCD Governor’s Christmas Cup rugby league finals with a 10-6 win at Kone Tigers Oval on Sunday.
Earlier the Young Guns beat the Malai Rangers 18-4 to advance to face the Bulls.
The Young Guns played bravely against the Bulls despite fielding several injured players.
With the advantage of experienced player in former SP Hunters back David Lapua the Bulls were first to score through winger Kingsley George.
The Young Guns were quick to reply through fullback JB Dom which halfback Jeffery Para converted for a 6-4 lead at half time.
The Bulls came out firing in the second half and Lapua crossed for a try pushing the score for a 10-6 lead. The Bulls play the cup semifinal today at the Kone Tigers Oval.
