Move Gordon bus stop

Letters

THE current bus stop at Gordon should be moved to Unagi Oval due to the increasing number of petty crimes and harassment.
Every day women are being harassed and have their bags snatched.
It’s not only the women that are being targeted, men too are being attacked for their belongings.
Buses are cramped into one area which provides a good haven for opportunists to take advantage of the vulnerable.
The scenario is just like being surrounded and attacked by busy bees.
The area is not safe for women, girls, men and boys. Last week, I witnessed a man being attacked and was about to call my son in the bus but I had to put my phone away after realising that I was being watched.
I am from Central.
This is my city and I don’t understand why I have to move around in fear of being harassed, robbed, and attacked.
I don’t understand why I can’t even walk around with our children because that’s our bus stop; we come through there.
Moving the bus stop up to Unagi Oval would give the police a better chance to monitor people’s activities.
