MP Kouza may not be well informed

The National, Wednesday September 10th, 2014

I HAVE been following the on-going debates between MP Loujaya Kouza and others opposing her regarding her latest proposed initiatives.

I understand that any proposed developments initiated are to be brought to the Provincial Executive Council for deliberation before proceeding to the National Executive Council for further deliberation and approval.

It seems somewhat uncalled for when she went straight to NEC with the proposed Lae city commission legislation draft.

She must be reminded that she is the member for Lae and it is still part of the PEC and proper protocols should have been pursued.

I can recall an article dated a while back when she was asked how the LCC will benefit the Ahi people in terms of education and she did not directly answered that question.

She is rushing things without proper research and consultation that she cannot answer questions directed to her.

I understand the biometric system is a pilot project, however, with a province like Morobe where it is linked to other centres, it is unlikely that the project will be a success given the influx of migrants having access to Morobe from the highlands region and Madang province.

I hope she will be lucky come in the next election.
