KUNDIAWA-Gembogl MP Tobias Kulang has apologised to the families of the two men who lost their lives as a result of the election-related violence in Kundiawa on July 30.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Kulang said the loss of lives and properties were regrettable.
“I would like to sincerely apologise to the families of the two lives lost, those who suffered injuries and those who lost properties. Election processes are always very difficult in the province and these losses and suffering are most regrettable,” he said.
“What happened should have been avoided if a genuine court order was honoured by the election officials.
“I would like to request all state agencies responsible for the elections in Chimbu to ensure all responsible must be brought to justice and held accountable.”
