USINO-Bundi MP Jimmy Uguro says he is keen on seeing more children from his district having access to quality education.
Uguro, who is Education Minister, recently visited a remote part of the district, Gama to establish a new high school.
He said the school would be named after himself and community leader Philip Veline who had taken care of him while he was a student in 1990s.
He said in appreciation of Veline he established a new school named Uguro Veline High School, an elevation of Kenainj Primary School.
“My aim is to establish high schools in all three local level governments in the district, – Usino-Bundi and Gama,” he said.
“The aim is to ensure my people are educated.
“Government must focus more in rural areas and through DSIP (district services improvement programmes) funds we can.
“Also donor or developmental partners should support.”
