CHUAVE MP Wera Mori told a group of graduating students that they were to him like “oil, gold and copper”.

He told Grade Eight students at Gogo Primary School in Chuave district, Simbu, that they were precious like oil, gold and copper.

The geologist-cum-politician said he valued the future human resources of the district.

“Investing in human resources should be the biggest investment for Chuave for they are my oil, gold and copper,” Mori said.

Mori said his mother was one of the first children to attend the Gogo Community School during the colonial days. He said a double classroom would be built at the school and named after his mother, who was one of the pioneer students.

He told the people that K3 million had been allocated to upgrade the road from Keu to Karaweri.

Former National Planning secretary Dr Peter Kora encouraged the students to aim high and achieve academic excellence.

He urged them to set goals and work hard to achieve them.

Dux Gorai George received K1000 from Mori.
