KEROWAGHI MP Bari Palma has pledged K200,000 to help locals in his electorate start work on a soccer stadium.
Palma, who is eager to build the stadium, said he was talking with the PNGFA president David Chung for his assistance.
“I have spoken with the Catholic missions in my electorate and we have identified possible sites to build the stadium,” Palma said.
“A memorandum of understanding has also been signed by the Catholic missions, David Chung and myself. Chung will present the MOU at the next Fifa meeting in Russia next month,” Palma said.
“I am pushing for this to help youths in my electorate develop their abilities in sport,” Palma said.
Palma said he understood that working alone with DSIP funds would not guarantee.
