A YOUTH leader from Wapenamanda, Enga, wants MP Miki Kaeok to fix the deteriorating road from Mukurumanda to Tsak.
Langa Kopio said with continuous rainfall over the festive season, road condition had deteriorated causing public motor vehicle owners to stop providing passenger services.
He said people travelling to and from Tsak had to push their vehicles across the muddy road.
“We cannot do this and travel in such road condition for so long and want the Wapenamanda MP and his district administration to fix it,” he said.
He said the elected leaders had neglected the Tsak road for the past 15 years and was affecting more than 50,000 people.
Kopio said Tsak had some of the basic government and church services.
Resident Amos Taso said the last maintenance work was done in 1996.
He said, since then, no work had been done on the road.
“We must have the relevant authorities immediately address the situation to make life easier for the people of Tsak,” he said.
