JIWAKA Governor Dr William Tongamp and the three MPs have pledged to work together for the good of the province.
The three are North-Waghi MP and Petroleum and Energy Minister Dr Fabian Pok, Jimi MP Wake Goi and Anglimp South-Waghi MP Joe Kuli.
Tongamp and Goi met at the provincial headquarter in Kurumul on August 9.
“Since 2012 when I was elected, I spent the whole time here at the headquarters but I have never seen a district MP setting foot here,” Tongamp said.
“I am here to work with all the district MPs. We must put the people first. They want us to work together and deliver services to them.”
Tongamp handed over an excavator and a truck to Goi to fix the roads in Jimi.
Tongamp said Pok and Kuli also wanted to have a meeting to work out a plan for the province. He congratulated Pok for his appointment as minister.
Provincial administrator Michael Wandil said Jiwaka was a small province but could beat the bigger provinces in terms of development if the MPs worked as a team.
