Mt Hagen completes census recruitment exercise

WESTERN Highlands’ Mt Hagen urban and rural census team has completed the recruitment exercise for the census count after screening applicants, an official says.
Mt Hagen city authority urban and provincial census coordinator Nasil Rambi said the testing was conducted two weeks ago and had selected the most capable applicants to be flown to Port Moresby to be trained to carry out the census count.
Rambi said the enumeration would be on July 12. He described the census count as an important exercise in terms of collecting data for the Government’s planning for development and allocation of resources, manpower and focus.
