Mums told to make God centre of their universe

CHRISTIAN mothers from the Wesleyan Church, especially in Hela and Southern Highlands during the sixthNational Women’s Conference in Lae were urged to apply God’s word in their lives.
Acting National Wesleyan Women’s president Ruthy Herowa told The National yesterday that the women’s conference was to bring together women to remind them of God’s word.
“We are all Christian women, but sometimes we need words of encouragement to support each other. We must support each other with what Jesus said in the Bible.
“The theme of the conference is on James 1:22, which encourages us to be doers of the word,” Herowa said.
“Our last conference was in Port Moresby in 2016, which was attended by more than 700 women.”
She said the mothers were mostly from Hela, Southern and Western Highlands, Jiwaka, Chimbu and Morobe.
“The main message to our Wesleyan women is to be doers, not just listeners. We always preach to forgive and love others, but in reality, we do not do that.
“We believe in Holiness, we women have failed many times, we have to be on our knees and crying so that our God will heal us and revive our church,” she said.
