OX & Palm Women NSL competition leaders Mungkas suffered their first loss at the hands of revamp University Inter FC side 3-2 during their match at Bisini Soccer Grounds on Saturday.
However, the loss did not affect their standing on the competition ladder as Mungkas are still leading with 15 points while University are second on 11, Yamaros 11 and Hekari two.
They were struggling in the opening half which resulted in two quick goals from University.
University sensing trouble started to play wide. The move paid dividends when Deslyn Siniu outplayed young Joy Tsuga and crossed the ball for her teammates to put to good use.
In the 14th minute, University kept the pressure on Mungkas captain and fullback Cathy Horris who failed to clear the ball resulting in Siniu slicing the ball to find the target.
University collected their second goal through Siniu who connected a header. University led 2-0 at the break.
In the second half, University continued to cause problems up front for Mungkas and  resulted in University scoring their third goal.
But Mungkas came back with two goals to Horris after substitute Lydia Barnabas after she was trapped in the penalty area.
Several minutes later, Fatima Rama scored Mungkas second goal to narrow the gap 3-2.
However, the fightback came too late and the final whistle came to seal a win  for University.
In the other game, Yamaros thrashed Hekari 4-0.
Chalau, who formerly stared for University, teamed up with her Guria teammates in Yamaros and proved too classy for Hekari.
