AFTER three days of painstaking display of skills and team effort, it has now come down to the last matches before heading into the finals play offs under the scorching sunshine of the 2011 National Murat Soccer Championships.
Games coordinator Jeffery Darius said after the completion of the 3rd Day pool games today, teams had been notified of their progressive results.
Darius said the late arrival of the teams from Madang and Lae would not hamper the progress of the competition as their games would be played as wash-out matches today and early tomorrow morning.
The progressive results as of yesterday afternoon saw Kavieng One on nine points followed by Taskul on five in men’s pool one.
West Mussau and Yamaros Two are on four and three points respectively after two games.
Madang are yet to register a point due to their late arrival.
In men’s pool two, Port Moresby and South Mussau share the top spot with eight points each followed by Poliamba and Emirau on five and Tikana on two points.
Kavieng Two, Kokopo and East Mussau are sharing six points apiece followed by Kaplaman on three points in men’s pool three.
Lae are on one point but could see some change after they play their wash-out matches.
Yamaros One are leading pool four with 12 points followed by Kimbe on nine points and Kavieng Green and Emirau One each on eight points.
Lihir is on fifth placing with three points in men’s pool Four.
In the women’s pool One, Port Moresby and Kavieng One are on five points, Emirau four and Poliamba two points.
Pool Two has Kavieng Green leading with eight points, Kavieng Two and Lihir tied on four points.
