Nambawan Super Ltd (NSL) with OPH project partners, Lamana, showcased the new standard executive accommodation offered within the Nambawan Super Plaza Penthouse Tower.
OPH chairman Andrew Crompton said the investment in the building was also an investment in the skills of PNG tradesmen.
NSL said in a statement that at the height of construction, 600 Papua New Guineans were employed on the project, many of whom had now progressed to Nambawan Super’s next development partnership project, Rangeview at Waigani.
NSL chairman Anthony Smaré told guests that the fund was proud to be the owner of luxurious apartments.
“It is particularly satisfying to know that as the apartment fills up and houses the country’s most powerful business and diplomatic figures the rent they pay over the next 30 years will build up the superannuation accounts of some of the country’s most humble and hardworking people, our members such as teachers, nurses, doctors, police and CS personnel as well as private sector members all around the country,” Smare said.
“It reinforces again our core investment approach – everything we invest must generate long term sustained returns to our members and must also be investments that we are proud to be associated with.”
Guests at the launch included chief executives of some the largest and well-known companies in the country and diplomatic representatives from the city’s diplomatic corps including the United States, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Solomon Islands, Japan and Korea and representatives from the European Union.
