I support John Kirakar concern (The National, Sep 9) that our beautiful Madang town has been invaded by gangsters. We need a vibrant and strong police commander to control and combat these crimes in our beautiful province. I therefore question the transfer of Jim Namora to West New Britain. Although it is the prerogative of the Police Commissioner to appoint PPC, it would be good if Namora was sent to Madang to be commander to fight these crimes because he knows how to deal with the situation as he comes from Madang and is a no-nonsense cop. Therefore, I call on the Police Commissioner Gari Baki to listen to the cries of the people of Madang and send Namora to our province.
