MOROBE Governor Kelly Naru has pledged K100,000 for the construction of the St Kelamu church building at Labu Butu village near Lae city.
Naru made the commitment during thanksgiving day celebrations at the village last Sunday.
“God’s business is our business and Morobe government belongs to God as we have seen blessing in the government, the people and the individuals,” he said.
Naru said the government had taken the challenge to support the work of churches in the province through the Christian Churches Partnership Programme (CCPP).
He said K50,000 would be paid this year and the remaining balance would be paid next year.
“Everything that we do in life we must come to a place where we take hold of what God’s interest in our lives.
“And we do works that will give glory to our God and blessings to us and bring peace amongst the community that we live in,” Naru said.
