NATIONAL Superannuation Fund (Nasfund) commissioned an information service booth last Thursday at the South Pacific International Container Terminal (SPICT) in Lae, Morobe.
Nasfund’s Lae branch manager Geita Goasa said the information booth brought the number to six for the city joining five other companies; Trukai Industries, International Food Corporation (IFC), Mapai Transport, Mainland Holdings and Hornibrook NGI.
“It has always been the Nasfund and NCSL’s objective to encourage its employers to set up member internet service booths for their staff and employees at their office locations,” she said.
“The setup is to assist employees who are the fund’s valued members to have access to e-channels which is user friendly.”
Goasa said instead of visiting the Nasfund branches, employees could use the information booth for services they could access at their fingertip such as:

  • EASY access to their Superannuation NCSL account without leaving the office;
  • PRINT outs of their Nasfund and NCSL account details, balance or transaction summary;
  • AVOID costly or inconvenient trips to Nasfund and NCSL office; and,
  • AVOID long queues waiting to be served and have services such as CSL Portal, phone banking and other respective services at their convenience.

Goasa said the service was set up at the discretion of the employers.
“We aim to have more employers join in on this project as we continue to work together to server our members and employers,” she said.
Goasa thanked SPICT management for the positive response.
He said Nasfund would support the company to ensure its superannuation services were delivered for all members’ convenience.
SPICT human resource manager Mary Tarabu, standing in on behalf of the general manager George Gware, said the installation of the information booth came about after an awareness conducted by Nasfund and NCSL on Feb 1.
