THE National Superannuation Fund (Nasfund) has opened a branch at Kimbe, West New Britain, to provide its members easy access to services.
Nasfund chief executive officer Ian Tarutia said it was Nasfund’s plan to increase membership in the province.
“This location now offers members a more spacious, secure and convenient access to services offered by the fund,” he said.
Tarutia met members on the first day of operation.
“The opening of our new Kimbe office is a testament of our commitment to growing membership in West New Britain. “Our operations will be scaled up for superannuation and savings and loan services in anticipation of growth in Kimbe and the region.”
The previous week, Nasfund opened a service centre in Maprik, East Sepik.
“While formal employment is trending downwards, we are confident that new membership will come from agriculture, the micro small to medium enterprises and the informal sector,” Tarutia also said.
Nasfund is also carrying out refurbishments at its Madang and Alotau branches.
