Nay to oppressive religious law

 I WAS confused to read Tom Anayabere’s letter. Is Anayabere, whom I believe to be an executive of the MCC calling for an enactment of oppressive religious laws so that MCC’s dissenters of religious views can be silenced? I cannot believe that Christian organisations like the MCC want oppressive religious laws to be enacted by the state so that critics can be silenced. Just because some people have different religious views, what right does people like the writer have to invoke oppressive and intolerable religious punishment? I wonder if he is even a genuine Christian. Oppression is a tool of the devil. So, is our Christianity from God or from the devil?
