THE National Capital District Volleyball Association will tip off round seven tomorrow following last weekend’s postponement, according to president Wally Irau.
“We cancelled the games last week due to the election-related violence in the city,” he told The National yesterday.
“But we will resume this weekend.”
With the general election winding down in the nation’s capital, Irau said all teams must turn up early to ensure that the games were played on time.
“We will start at 8am, so I’m urging everyone to come early,” he said.
“While the situation is unpredictable, we should be clocking off early to allow teams to return home safely.”
Meanwhile, competition frontrunners Jugu will be eyeing another victory when they face Snipers in the men’s premier division.
Coach Alex Gima said the one-week break was used to prepare his men the match.
“We needed this break for more training,” he said.
“We’re ready to face Snipers.
“I’m sure they will come prepared too.”
The other men’s matches will see Phoenix face Vailima and Edatec Scorpions battle Rainbow Flyers.
Meanwhile, in the women’s division, Snipers are aiming sink Jugu, first-placed Telikom are primed for Phoenix and Scorpions will meet U-Mi Yet.
