NCDC pumps K50,000 into Media pool comp

NATIONAL Capital District Commission has set pace for other sponsors by injecting K50,000 to the 2017 PNG Media Pool competition.
NCDC representative Numa Alu, on behalf City Manager Lesley Alu, announced the sponsorship for the PNG Media Pool at Lamana last Saturday.
Alu in making the announcement said good sports administration was a big factor in why sponsors were willing to back certain sports.
He said as a sport administrator, the success of a competition revolved around proper, strong and transparent administration and PNG Media Pool had proven itself in this regard.
“At the national level, there are some sports with good administration while others don’t have it,” Alu said.
“The PNG Media Pool has a good and sound administration so NCDC was first to support for this year.”
PNG Media Pool manager Colin Taimbari added that major sponsor, National Gaming Control Board and others would make announcements on their support in the near future.
Taimbari said the Media Pool competition was also expecting Member elect for Moresby South Justin Tkatchenko continue his support.
