NCSL expanding point of sale

A LOCAL trade store at 9-Mile outside Port Moresby is one of the latest merchants to have a nasfund contributor savings and loan society (NCSL) point-of-sale (POS) installed for the convenience of members within the vicinity.
Shop owner Benny Minao from Enga said his shop was the only one among a line of 11 shops in that area to provide any type of eftpos services for commuters travelling between Port Moresby and Central.
The society said in a statement that all local bank cards could be used on the NCSL POS and the transaction fee charged was 25 toea, the lowest in the market.
It stated that merchants could access their accounts via the online merchant portal to view transaction details and assist with reconciliation.
NCSL encouraged other interested shop owners located in busy or high traffic areas to enquire with their electronic banking team.
