NCSL gives customers payment option

Business

MEMBERS of the Nasfund Contributors Savings and Loans Society (NCSL) can now use their Poro card to pay for their shopping and request for cashback at the Super Value Store at Taurama in Port Moresby.
Electronic banking manager Vavine Iamo confirmed that there were three points of sale (PoS) terminals available there for members to use their Poro cards, and other bank cards.
Iamo said when paying for their shopping on NCSL PoS terminals, members and the public will be charged a transaction fee of 25 toea for every purchase.
NCSL is securing new merchants all the time given its competitive offering which allows for a better financial outcome for merchants.
It expects to roll out another 800 terminals in the next few months around the country.
NCSL has also recruited additional staff to ensure there is adequate support to the merchants at all times.
NCSL will be advertising the names and locations of its merchants on a regular basis so that its 120,000-plus members know where to go for their shopping.
It is also the first non-bank agency to participate in the national payment switch, retail electronic payment system (REPS), launched by the Bank of PNG last July.
