NASFUND Contributors Savings and Loan Society’s (NCSL) has introduced a self-service kiosk with a biometrics identification system for its members in the Mt Hagen branch.
NCSL digital services and call centre manager Gila Ebenosi said this digital channel allowed registered members to conveniently access their savings and loans accounts using their fingerprints, eliminating the need for paperwork, and reducing waiting times at branches.
Key features of the system include:

  • Instant access: Members can scan their fingerprints to instantly view and manage their personal account details; and,
  • Transaction capabilities: Members can perform transactions such as viewing savings and loans balances, applying for instant loans, making transfers, withdrawals and requesting e-statements.

Ebenosi said the system would be rolled out in all NCSL branches.
Meanwhile, NCSL’s banking and receipting team leader Olive Maurice said NCSL was committed to providing service excellence to its members by not only interviewing them, but also by regularly engaging with their employers.
“To keep being informed and understand the challenge and relevant practice in terms of processing member contributions and providing service efficiency by using the employer online portal.”
Recently, a three-day workshop was hosted for employers whose employees are members and contributors to NCSL.
“Human resource and payroll officers from 23 organisations were re-introduced to NCSL’s.”
Maurice said that the human resource and payroll officers from 23 different organisations attended the workshop.
NCSL will regularly continue running these workshops throughout the year.
NCSL also visited Tabubil last month to strengthen the ongoing relationship between NCSL, its members and their employers.
