STAFF of the National Library and Archives were visited by National Contributors Savings and Loans Society this month in a move to have more public servants join the society.
This came on the back of NCSL being recently assigned a new payroll code, DNCSL, said Member Services and Branch Support manager Robert Thadeus.
The new payroll system was approved by the Finance Department, allowing direct deductions through the Alesco Payroll System.
Thadeus told the library and archives staff about the ongoing rollout of the Biometric Identification System service, as well as the NCSL debit card and transaction
account for members in NCSL’s efforts to become a one-stop shop by 2020.
The director-general of the Office of National Library and Archives, Kakaito Kasi, urged his staff to join NCSL and led the way by being the first to register his membership. He also opened Kids Savings Accounts (KSA) for his two children.
Kasi said it was time to cut down on borrowings and start saving.
