Pacific Industries presented K25,000 to the Motu-Koita West Netball Association in Port Moresby yesterday.
Motu-Koita Assembly and National Capital District Deputy Governor Daddy Toka Jr said K20,000 would cover administrative costs and the balance would go towards merchandising and branding.
“Pacific Industries is a big supporter of sports,” Toka said.
“Today is another example of how they will be supporting netball in Motu-Koita West.
“Pacific Industries’ commitment to the indigenous people of Port Moresby can bring positive results in our communities through sports.”
Pacific Industries marketing manager Mervin Rangip said the company believed in community engagement by getting behind people to support ways in helping their communities.
“Sports are now looking promising with big seasons in rugby league, cricket and netball,” he said.
“We are happy to provide support.
“This is our second year of supporting the association which has brought our sisters and daughters together to promote peace, unity and healthy living through netball.”
Association president Kori Toua Navuru thanked Toka and Pacific Industries for supporting their competition.
“I can see that there’s an increase from last year’s sponsorship,” she said.
“So on behalf of my association executives and players, I’d like to thank Pacific Industries for its kind gesture.
“We are looking forward to working as partners going forward and making it a win-win situation for the association and Pacific Industries.”
