New appointments not helping country

Letters

SIX new vice ministers in Prime Minister James Marape’s extended cabinet means new payroll ledgers and additional allowances and benefits on the expense of the taxpayers when the country is experiencing the worst financial crunch.
New ministries mean more hands on deck.
I recommend a bipartisan approach in a grand coalition of competent people from both sides of the house.
We need a new cabinet (war cabinet) in this national emergency.
We cannot ignore the national emergency the country is in, which is equivalent to a state of war.
That is why the Government should raise its apt and tenacity in this fight.
We cannot pretend that everything is normal.
We have a situation and it requires drastic measures.
Cut the wastage, save costs and restore discipline on the public expenditure, especially during these precarious times.
