THE New Ireland provincial co-ordination and monitoring committee received a new computer  from the Department of Provincial and Local Government Affairs last week.
DPLGA acting deputy secretary for performance monitoring and improvement Dickson Guina said the presentation was a follow up to the launch of the committee in the province  last May.
Co-ordinator of the NIP PCMC Bertsie Taru, said the K3,000 worth of equipment would be used for keeping records and improved coordination between agencies delivering service in New Ireland province.
The department has launched the PCMC in 16 provinces and hope to include the  Gulf and Southern Highlands before the end of the year.
PCMC, PNG government initiative, is one of the flagship programmes of the department aimed at better co-ordinating and monitoring service delivery efforts in a province.
