New dam in Koiari

 LANDOWNERS in Central have signed a deal with a US based firm for a multi-million hydro project in Koiari.

The memorandum of understanding was signed between the Naoro Brown River Development Corporation and Clean Energy.

Under the terms of an arrangement Clean Energy Solution would fund the development of the Naoro Brown River Hydro Power Project.

Chairman of Naoro Brown River Development Corporation Nelson Badi said, this project will be operated on a commercial arrangement.

“We took a great risk in negotiating for the money to get our project moving,” Badi said.
