New drug laws good for country

Letters

THE passing of the Controlled Substance Bill 2021 aimed at addressing issues with drugs and illegal substances was collectively supported by MPs from the Government and Opposition.
This shows that they care about the citizens and our friends from overseas who live in Papua New Guinea.
Previously, there were no tough laws to deal with drugs such as cocaine, ice (crystal methamphetamine) and other illegal drugs.
Now that the law is in place, it gives law enforcers more fighting chances against illegal drugs.
The law serves as deterrent factor to the people who are dreaming to make easy money in the country by selling and distributing illegal drugs.
A good numbec
