A NEW furniture and electrical retailer known as FairPrice opened its doors in Port Moresby last week.
FairPrice is located at Courts building in Gordons and sells furniture and household electrical items.
Executive director Christopher Elphick said FairPrice aimed to provide quality, affordable furniture, electrical appliances and associated products at a fair price for locals.
“Our customers are Papua New Guineans aspiring to provide an improved, more comfortable lifestyle for their families at a fair price,” Elphick said.
The business is focused on serving the Port Moresby market but has customers purchasing from regional centres.
FairPrice is a 100 per cent PNG-owned enterprise employing 25 locals.
“We have come a long way since our first trading operation in 2013,” Elphick said.
“We have worked hard to refine an offer that brings value to our customers while navigating the challenges that many small medium enterprises face.”
