New generator could save costs

A NEW generator that creates electricity out of thin air could save energy costs for PNG citizens.
The air generator uses natural protein to create electricity from water vapour designed by professor Jun Yao and microbiologist professor Derek Lovley of Massachusets University in USA.
The generator uses a film of nanometer scale (one billionth of a meter) protein wires harvested from Geobacter sulfurreducens, a microbe that can produce electricity.
The wires are connected to electrodes and conduct electricity through naturally present water in the air.
This technology will help people from all walks of life from rural villagers, urban residents, business owners, schools, hospitals etc if our government and private enterprise research it and introduce it in PNG soon.
